Numurkah Solar Farm and Downer invite local residents to join us for a community drop-in session at the Numurkah Visitors Centre, Presidents Room from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday 3rd October. Members of the Neoen and Downer project teams will be on hand throughout the event to explain more about the project and answer any questions. Light refreshments will be provided.
Downer has been awarded the contract for the construction of the Numurkah Solar Farm, located approximately 6km south of Numurkah, VIC. The project will commence mobilisation in September 2018 and will provide economic and environmental benefits in addition to creating direct and indirect jobs to the local region. Any job vacancies on Numurkah Solar Farm Project will be advertised on the Downer website (careers.downergroup.com) and some roles will be advertised in the local Newspaper. The Moira Shire Council has today approved the planning application for the construction of Numurkah Solar Farm.
Today it was announced by the Victorian Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Lily D’ambrosio that Neoen’s Numurkah Solar Farm has been successfully awarded a supply agreement by the Victorian Government to provide green energy towards Melbourne’s trams. The solar farm will assist Victoria in its endeavour towards a greener future.
Neoen is holding a community drop-in session in Numurkah on Wednesday 12th April from 12 to 4pm. Neoen has selected planning specialist GHD to assist with the submission of a planning application for the solar farm. This will be submitted before 19th April, with a result expected in May.
